Mystery by Design
Patricia Fox
I was so flattered when @robinBarondesign asked me to participate as a “guest suspect” for the event Mystery by Design to benefit KIDS NEED MORE. A short film was showed explaining and demonstrating where the evenings proceeds will be earmarked. The money raised will go to create a unique camp experience , At Camp Adventure, for children with cancer and their siblings. To have one week where they forget their illness and be like other children. The film was moving and people attending responded with generosity.
I donated a one-of-a -kind cuff bracelet, my assemblage art for the occasion.
The fun part was dressing up! I wore a yellow corduroy beaded evening gown that had been given to me by famed interior designer, Michael Tavano who had purchased this treasure 25 years ago. I visited him one weekend this past summer at his country home. After a cup of tea he disappeared into his basement and came up the stairs holding a magnificent ensemble which had been worn to the Inaugural Ball of Jackie and Jack Kennedy. I dropped my clothes to the kitchen floor slipped into it and boom it was reincarnated fitting me perfectly. I felt like a regal princess all evening accessorized with long white kid leather gloves and silk 5o’s shoes and steel beaded purse. So Purely Patricia!
