Love Letters with HobNob Magazine
Patricia Fox
I was meeting Ellen Swandiak, editor-in-chief of Hob Nob magazine for the first time at Bergdorf Goodman’s in the purse department. As I walked to the entrance, I saw cameras, lights, and action on the sidewalk. I went into the revolving door grabbed Ellen and back out we dashed to become part of the scene. The artist of the papier mache’ New York scene window was being interviewed and there he and I were being photographed together with Ellen clicking away too.
Ellen, a gorgeous blonde, and I were in instant “like” as I posed, greeted and interacted with the gathering huge crowd all of whom wanted to take photos too. It was all so glamorous and romantic each window a wintry spectacle. The theme is Love Letters to seven cultural institutions in New York City. I am dressed in winter white to compliment my favorite window of Swarovski crystal-encrusted dinosaur skeletons.
Manhattan’s most spectacular holiday displays are all on view through Christmas……an age-old-tradition portraying glittering wonderlands, holiday stories and the feelings of nostalgia. The fun is of course the hustle and bustle of New Yorkers mingling with tourists all clamoring to get a clear view. I would not miss this season cheer for the world. Run don’t walk!
For more fab ideas for entertaining, food and drinks reading this magazine is a must!!!
